What body tissue samples look like
Tissue samples are usually put on a glass slide or in wax so they can be analysed. Fluids are usually kept in a test tube.
If you ask for the samples to be given to you, this is an example of what you can expect:

Blood spot cards (scaled to 60%) which would contain a little bit of blood. Tissue samples (actual size) in a glass slide and a wax block (side view).
